Ancient defense
Once a warning light above Lake Glassmere, this ancient crystal also guarded the roads below Oathguard. The siege left its stone cradle cracked and its light failing. Repair is optional and never required to unlock Kate.
Attack rules
Bolts charge for 0.45 seconds, then travel at 500 units per second. Targets can be ground or flying; the furthest along its road is chosen first. The primary takes 240 once and up to five neighbors take 120. The separate large pulse has a 0.6-second warning. Frost resistance and Kate’s vulnerability apply through normal damage handling. No tower bonuses, critical hits, freeze or slow are added. Hrold receives 120 from a plain direct bolt after his 50% frost resistance.
First balancing pass
The 240 base hit is 4x Frost/Inferno’s 60, 3.33x Storm Spire’s 72 and 3.2x Fireworks Workshop’s 75. It is not uniformly 4x DPS. The beacon covers early approaches rather than the entire exit. Its stable body and independently extracted effects preserve the supplied artwork; overlapping ring concepts and unregistered body animation concepts are retained outside the app bundle.
