I'm a software engineer focused on solving difficult engineering problems. Over ten years I've consistently moved toward larger systems and larger responsibility: distributed systems, scalability, microservices, cloud infrastructure, and architecture. I went from junior backend engineer to building social infrastructure used by hundreds of millions of people. Rather than specializing in one language, I specialize in building reliable systems regardless of technology. Languages are tools. Architecture is the skill.
