Progression
Upgrade a Reinforced Cannon at Eastern Road or later. The branch costs 400 gold after the 180-gold build and 300-gold Level 2 upgrade. Selling refunds 70% of the full 880-gold investment. Earlier-level replays retain their campaign restrictions.
Targeting and impact
The Mortar prefers targets surrounded by the most eligible ground enemies. Shells land at a fixed point; moving targets can escape, while a released shell still explodes if its original target dies.
Combat role
Pair broad splash with Barracks at crowded bends. The slower cadence needs support against scattered fast enemies.
